Wind Turbines

The Great Lakes region is known for its wind resources. The City of Bowling Green, Ohio recently erected the largest wind turbines east of the Rocky Mountains which have performed beyond initial expectations. With careful site planning taking into account resident concerns, migratory flight patterns and tower safety, Toledo is a prime wind generation area. The Vistula Management Company has obtained FAA approval for a wind turbine in the North West part of the City and is in the preliminary stages of design and permitting. Utilizing the abundant energy of the wind is a logical extension of the solar hot water and photovoltaic projects already completed as part of a long term program of investing in clean, renewable energy for the region.
